Ivars' story...

Ivars Petersons was born on September 27th, 1968.

In 1982 as a pianist graduated Riga 1st Music School. Later had vocal classes with several private teachers. In the early 90s he started to play in various clubs in Latvia, he was performing popular songs from 60s and 70s and playing piano.

... and then

1995

  • Ivars forms his first band „Crazy Heads” in 1995, where he played together with Eduards Glotovs, Inguss Feldmanis, Vilnis Strods.

2002

  • Releases his first solo album "Memories of my mind” - a compilation of songs from previous years composed by himself.

2003

  • Forms a band - Petersons. Performs in Latvia as well as in foreigh countries.

2004

  • Together with his group releases the album „Someday we’ll return” including selfcomposed songs as well as popular Elvis presley cover songs. Ivars had participated in cd recordings such as – „Vasaras sapnis” by Raimonds Pauls, Dž. Geršvinam – 100”, „LNT „Mūzikas skaņas”. In 2004 he participated in Latvian Eurovision final contest with his song „Come with me”.
  • Participates in Latvian Eurovision final contest with his song „Come with me”.

2005

  • On January 8th he organizes Elvis Presley birthday party for the first time in Latvia.

2007

  • Participates in Elvis Festival in Lake George, USA.

2008

  • Performs fis first solo concert "The Songs of Elvis - invites Ivars Petersons" in Dzintari Concert hall.
  • Releases third album "The Songs of Elvis".
  • Releases first DVD album "The Songs of Elvis".

2009

  • Performs two Christmass solo concerts "The songs of Christmas" in Great Guild hall.
